About Thomas Bartlett

Thomas Bartlett, founder of Ultima Artifacts, has been crafting unique jewelry for over a decade. Based in Minnesota, Thomas combines his passion for artistry with a love of geology and collecting. An avid rockhound, he enjoys working with locally sourced stones—especially the iconic Lake Superior agates—and frequently collaborates with local lapidary artists to showcase their expertly cut gems.

You can find Thomas and his work each season at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, where his booth has become a destination for those seeking distinctive, handcrafted pieces that carry both history and style.

Working primarily in sterling silver and copper, Thomas blends traditional metalworking techniques with imaginative design.  More recently Thomas has been taking advantage of modern advancements in technology like digital modeling to create cast works in silver.

Thomas is a winner of the Rio Grande “For the Love of Jewelers” Design Competition, a testament to his creativity and skill.

Each piece from Ultima Artifacts reflects not only technical dedication but also a deep respect for the materials he works with. Whether through intricate wire metalwork or the unique story of a stone, this jewelry is meant to be true wearable art.
